With 15 years of experience working with college students and parents, Leslie’s free phone consultations help her to uncover each family’s specific academic needs and enable her to pair each student with a devoted, and knowledgeable tutor.
Tutoring By A College Professor was co-founded in Columbus, Ohio in 2008 by her late husband, Professor Matthew Marx (The Ohio State University & Michigan State University) on the belief that all students could benefit from a one-on-one virtual learning experience led by a gentle, approachable educator who is hand-picked to supplement classroom learning and test preparation.
Upon his passing in December 2020, Leslie has continued his legacy of providing individualized educational support to students across the country by partnering with a talented faculty of 300+ educators of all college subjects. Today, Tutoring By A College Professor is recognized at 80+ major colleges and universities for helping students achieve higher test scores, stronger grades, and greater academic confidence.
Leslie is a mom of 3: young adults: Libby graduated from Emory University’s Goizueta Business School in May 2020, Murray graduated from Vanderbilt University’s College of Arts and Sciences in May 2023 and is a current first year medical student at Vanderbilt University School of Medicine. Evelyn is a current junior at Vanderbilt University’s School of Engineering.
